Granted I do not have any payware in Xplane due to it being a demo but confidence is high it would work. They work perfectly right out of the box with XPlane11. with P3d I tweaked and messed with them until I was blue in the face. What really has convinced me is I downloaded XPlane11 demo calibrated my same controls and they work flawlessly in fact they work beyond flawlessly, I could never get my payware aircraft to feather the props and on some but not all would go into beta. I plugged my controls into my old i5 3570 win 7 FSX computer and they work as expected. I have verified beyond a doubt, at least for me, that it is indeed a problem with P3d. My VFTQ6 throttle quadrant does not work with the P3d v4.3 client, it worked with 4.1, I skipped 4.2. I know this might be circumstantial evidence but I have no other explanation. What I have found so far is this appears to be a P3D v4.3 problem and not my computer or hardware. I have an update to my problem with my controls to anyone who might be interested or have similar problems. One more observation, when I use the keyboard the throttles work smoothly in the combined axis mode.Īnyone have any insights or suggestion would be appreciated. An interesting thing when I go to calibrate the throttles the calibration range shows my Y and X axis for the throttles but there is a third axis RX that keeps popping up after I have deleted everything ! I have to assume this is the problem somehow but have no clue what to do about it. I have double checked that all axis assignments have been deleted everywhere that I could find them including FSUICP5. My first thought was a pot had gone bad in the VF TQ6 so I disconnected it and assigned the CH yoke controls to the throttles and I have the same problem. It is either full on or full off with a huge null zone in the middle. Here is the problem, all of the control axes assignments are programmed and calibrated using P3D V4.3 with the exception of the Crosswind rudders that use their own software, and all of them work with exception of my number 2 throttle. I have FSUIPC5 installed but do not use it for this application. CH Flight SIIVI yoke for my primary control surfaces and I use the MFG Crosswind V2 rudder pedals. I have the VirtualFly TQ6 as my throttle, prop, and mixture controls. Check this thread for more info. After searching the forum I saw there are people that have the same problems with programming their throttle quadrant but I do not see a solution yet. If something isn’t working right, tap reset axes. LiveFlight Connect will try and auto-map axes if your joystick isn’t recognised. If your joystick is recognised (should say “your joystick is setup correctly!”), skip this step. Open LiveFlight Connect - if both devices are on the same network and Connect is enabled, it should quickly say “Connected!”. In Infinite Flight, go to Settings (top left corner), scroll to the bottom and enable Infinite Flight Connect. Plug the joystick into the PC/Mac and install LiveFlight Connect (if you have any issues, please send a PM to Guide: has tested with the Saitek X52 Pro, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X. LiveFlight Connect should work with most joysticks. A standard home network should work fine, as would a portable hotspot on a phone. Your PC/Mac and device running Infinite Flight need to be on the same local WiFi network. Available to download at (note: Windows version will be available soon) Joysticks cannot be plugged into iOS devices due to restrictions by Apple - we’ll be using an app that sends commands over the network to Infinite Flight.įree, open source client software. Setting up joysticks with iOS requires a bit more setup, but it’s still very easy. That is not something that will work for all devices as manufacturers take some liberty in naming their axes and buttons, so there is no guarantee that the default setup will work. When it first detects a device, Infinite Flight will try to bind the axes as best as it can. The accelerometer is considered as an input device and so it the network controller that is used when Infinite Flight Connect API is used. Note that the device list will never be empty.
